I have a problem with water collecting in the seat belt housing and not draining away. Is there a drain hole that could be blocked ?

quite simply no water should be getting in that part because the cab is supposed to be sealed from water leaks so I would be looking for accident damage or botched repair

I have exactly the same problem, have you managed to fix it and if so, how? It is driving me mad!

Hi 'techbod',

I am not sure If I am pleased that you have given me this information or sad as it means I possibly have somthing expensive and nasty lurking in my car. I will get my friendly mechanic to take a look at the next service.

Thank you

hiya. i have the same problem but only on the drivers side seat belt. my boyfriend is a bit of a car nut and is going to take the pannel off the inside of that side of the car to see what he can find but its a bit scary to me! do you advise he does this? its a 2000 w reg and he's done bits and bobs to keep it going well but never touched the cab itself before, more under the bonnet work.

any advice for this issue would be great as im fed up of a wet seat belt when im driving!

This is for all that may have this problem and it may not always be the reason but it is worth checking.

I have solved the above problem in my car.

Mine was due to the rear window fastener bolt having worked loose and water then running down the inside and getting into the seat belt well. After tightening this bolt it has stopped the water getting in.

Hope this solves your problem too as it is very unpleasant having smelly wet seat belts.

All the best and good luck
