iendicott Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Did everyone get a recall for the picasso having to go in to have cups fitted on the suspension springs to stop then snapping and hitting the tyres ? Ours is going in within the next few weekends... Quote
truemouse Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Nope. Just got the thing about the new software. What years are being recalled? Or is this just right across the board? Quote
iendicott Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 We have an X reg so I don't know if it's just them What this about the software anyway ? Quote
truemouse Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 *Shrugs.* fuctifano. Basically they brought my car in, hooked it up onto the net and gave it back to me. Something about a software glitch that doesn't maximise the car's potential. Didn't get around to Dyno-testing it, but I got a pic on my phone of 127mph in it. (Just have to figure out how to send it to my e-mail.) (Erm, on track, off road . . . of course . . . constable.) :D Quote
Joeblunt Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 The XWC Recall relates to all Pics up to & including '03' :D Quote
truemouse Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Ah, so my little '05 'casso is okay then? Quote
hertsnminds Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 to have cups fitted on the suspension springs to stop then snapping and hitting the tyres My Pluriel had this work done when I took it in for something else. But I did not get any notification that it needed doing, first I knew was when the garage called to find out where the locking bolts for the wheels were. I thought this was a strange request as they were replacing a boot lid trim  Only found out when I collected the car that they had done the cup replacement. IanOrange 03 Senso Quote
PRM Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 That would be right, the cars aren't "recalled" the work just gets done when you put it into the garage for something, anything, and i understand they are not allowed to give the car back to you until the work has been done, they would be leagally responsible for any accident. I would like to point out, respectfully, that it isn't to stop the spring snapping, but, if they do they won't go into the tyre.Today i fitted front discs and found the out side of the cup is polished to shiny metal where it is rubbing on the plastic inner wing protection.
