remove the earth wire from the battery then put the ignition key in and turn the key on, wait 20 seconds and connect the earth wire with the ignition still on, now turn it off then back on that should reset the airbags ( you probably disconnected the battery to do the lights and remove the live wire and earth then put the earth on first then the live) live first then earth ;) also you don't need to remove the live wire when adding thing just the earth

tried this it doesnt do anything for my light on dash

There's a connector under the seats that could have come unplugged if its the side air bags.
