Could somebody tell me if the under seat storage compartments are standard or extra on a 2.0 HDi VTR 2004 model Hatchback, the garage that sold me the car said that you only get 1 draw under the passenger seat :D :P

My 54 VTR estate also has under seat storage,(Second hand to me)

Does anyone know if the drawer is deep enough to put a cd changer in.

I'm going to have to have a tour of my local scrappers and see if there's any about.

My 02 plate 2.2 HDI Exclusive has a Clarion 6CD Changer hanging under the drivers seat - I wouldn't think there is enough height to fit any CD Unit in the tray as the bare CD Changer only just squeezes in. I would look at fixing some inverted "U" shaped brackets to the seat base to hold the CD Changer in place.

As far as I know, only SX models and above (Exclusive) got under seat drawers as standard.

got two drawers in mine '02 SX

AFAIK if you've got CD changer you only get 1 as changer takes that space?

Yes, mine is an 02 Exclusive with a drawer under the passenger seat and a CD changer under the driver's seat.

If you are doing the rounds of a scrappy to find the right changer, check that your car is wired for it first. I made the mistake of not doing this with a sh*te old 406 and ahd to buy and run the wire for it. PITA!!!

If you find the right changer it should come with the brackets. Check the price of a new one first so as not to be ripped off on eBay or second hand parts.

Check Add a Changer for some clues
