hi all, lots of information so hope someone can help,

my mother owns a 1.4 diesel c3 when she first got it it developed a rattle she took it back to the garage and they fixed it straight away and said it was something to do with headlights (even though it sounded as if coming from inside )

rattle is back and i just can not pin point it (sounds like n/s dash upper half some where )

any ideas ???

thanks

Mick

Does the noise only occur just after starting the vehicle, has it got fully automatic air conditioning.....does it sound like a ring tapping on glass and only last 10 seconds?, is it a rattle, a vibration or a knock? ...does the fault only occur when moving?.....does it get worse the faster you go....is it affected by speed humps/potholes.....if you touch anything does the noise dissapear or vary in regularity?

Plastic trim on the window struts can be the cause especially if the clips were damaged during assembly. You can notice it more on cold days because the plastic is less flexible.
