alzeepark Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 HiOn the front brake unit nearside i have a wire loom containing two coloured wires, Green & brown that have snapped in half. They go into the brake unit itself.Any idea what this wiring does as there are no warning lights coming up on the dash.I wasnt sure what they actually did before i re conect themThanks Alzeepark Quote
techbod Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 break pad wear indicator, Ive seen loads of cars without it being connected and doesn't do any harm as long as you keep an eye/ear on the pads so they don't wear out and damage the discs Quote
Guest kingy001 Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 im the same as the other guy had three xantia over the last seven years and there all cut because it has a tendancy to send false reading to the warning light which gets a flickery and very annoying so dont worry abpout it mate its not a problem just keep a listen out for squeeking or any scoring on the discs.
