lewiskei Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Hi Folks. The door mirrors on my C5 have stopped retracting. The adjustment of the mirror itself still functions ok, but they have just stopped retracting when I lock the car. Everything else works ok when locking i.e. locks, deadlocks, alarm, auto window close etc. Any ideas what this could be? I can't find a fuse specific to the retraction Cheers Keith Quote
Stasi Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 just a thought... my retractors stopped doing their thing after I manually retracted to go through a particularly marrow width restriction; do they retract when you operate the switch inside the door? The switch that selects which mirror you adjust has a central position- slide it backwards once to retract and again to open. I think that is how I reset mine and they both work on the remote now. Everything else works ok when locking i.e. locks, deadlocks, alarm, auto window close etc. Set the mirror adjustment selector to mid position and then see if the mirrors retract when you push the button backwards (towards the rear of the car). If the manual retract works then push the button backwards again and hold it there for more than 5 seconds. This will reset the auto retract on locking the car. If the mirrors do not manually retract then you will need to search for a fuse, it's detailed in the drivers manual. Quote
