Can anyone point me in the direction of the Oil Filter on a C4 Diesel 1.6 VTR+... ;) Its my 1st attempt at an oil change on a diesel..i have always had the old cannister type filter that you whack a big screwdriver through and turn.. ;) anyway after spending half an hour removing the big plastic tray and jacking up i slid under for a nosey... :rolleyes: Could'nt see it... :lol: .. So....I know its there somewhere...But where..? .. Thanx in advance... B) . Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 You'll certainly need the undertray off to reach the drain plug on the sump. For the oil filter, open the bonnet and look to the right handside of the engine. You should see a black dome with a 32mm hex (I think) to take a socket and wrench. The top screws off and the filter lifts out. Use a new ring on replacement. Quote
