Also if I have to replace the fan motor do I need to replace the lot or just the motor. Any idea of cost.If the blower motor is broken should it still run???? Quote
techbod Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 does it stay on all the time on full speed? problem could be coolant temp sensor or relays/fuses to control the speeds might be down, don't drive while the fan is disconnected the engine will overheat better to have it on all the time and fix the problem Quote

The garage how diagnosed it could not find the problem. I have to disconnect it when stopped otherwise it will run the battery down.£130 down already and no closer to getting a solution. Quote
techbod Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 P0485 Cooling Fan Power/Ground Circuit MalfunctionSagem S2000 - Cooling function incorporated in the engine management ECUME744 - Fan assembly function. Coherence. this tells me you have a short in the wiring making the system live all the time even when the keys are out and engine stopped, check the wiring. £130 and they couldn't find that what a bunch of Ws Quote
