henshaw Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 2001 C5 SX. Ext temp sensor faulty. Have taken n/s mirror out of housing. No sign of access to sensor (button under casing?). Faced with black plastic inner cover with mirror motor attached mounted in front of it. Can see wires to mirror heater and motor, but no wires to sensor. Is sensor really there? and if so how do I get at it? Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 The sensor is along the bottom edge of the n/s mirror. There should be a couple of thin wires attached. Quote
henshaw Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 I know what I should see, from my previous letters on this subject, but what I actually see is like a black plastic inner lining of the mirror casing. Any access to the sensor and any wires that might connect to it is totally covered by this lining. I don't want to damage the inside of my mirror housing if the sensor isn't actually there on my car (2001 SX 2.2 HDi). If it isn't there, where is it? and if it there how do I get at it? Quote
