hi all i ve got xantia 2.1 td 1998. got lucaus pump having few problems ..

driving along after about 5 mins some times quicker. when away to change gear speedo revs all the way up then the management light come s on and shuts car down. then oncce ya get it started again wont let ya rev pass 3000 rev this is the limp home mode. but now once car in this mode it hardly letting me rev atall. gettin to realy anoy me now .

checked and cleaned out sender and pick in tank , new feul filter, new hand primer { also tryd doing away with it }, changed map sensor, any ideas any one thanks

without a fault code its very difficult to give an answer but its obviously electrical and fuel/rpm related so a guess would be the accelerator pedal position sensor or injector lift sensor

was thinking throttle position sensor ma self. wat s a injector lift sensor?? will try onother mate to get it on diagnositic machaine

thanks yeah that helps . ma car has fly by wire throttle ..cables ftom the peddal to a sensor , so the injector pump will have sensor to recieve signal?? really need to get on machine !! thanks a gain. oh forgot to say the management light dont stay on . if it comes on it will shut the car down.

had it on machine not bringing up codes till the car actually brakes down.even then comin up as a shut off valve.but this not just be cause it getting told to shut fuel off??

code is 650 fuel shutoff solenoid faults could be wiring relay module, coded key pad, fuel shutoff solenoid, fuel injection pump, ECM.

 

the solenoid is inside the pump and there is a round electrical connector with 13 pins the pins to check are 12 and 13 they are in the center 12 to earth ignition on should give a voltage between 11 and 14v and 12 and 13 ignition off should read 23 to 35 ohms
