techbod Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 try bleeding it a few times pump it up all the way and let it down to the lowest ensuring the rear goes all the way down, it took a while for me to get all the air out which sounds like your problem Quote

techbod Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 the filter can be cleaned out so no need to fit a new one and yes air will make it take longer to pump up and thus the stop light will stay on longer because it has to reach the required pressure ( its the rear spheres that's the problem many people let the system down to low and don't check if the rear is all the way down when they bleed it hence still air in the system ) what I did was to sit on the lip of the boot to make it go all the way down and did that about 10 times Quote
Guest androcles Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 My STOP light stays on for up to 10-12 secs from cold (i.e. after several hours or overnight). Is it actually a problem if there's a bit of air in the system? I've had a garage top up the LHM recently and the problem reduced a little but now it's as it was and the STOP light stays off. Can this air in the system cause problems or damage the components or event the fluid itself in any way? Quote
