hows it going??my xsara very smokey wen u start it up in the moring, never had this problem wen i bought it just wen i start tkn the boxs outa the exhaust took the middle out it was a wee bit smoke but wasnt to bad but wen took the cat out its just bad now, was told wen u take the cat out of the dturbos the tick over very funny in the moring (as if they were guna cut out) they get alot more smoky because its just all the excess lyn in the exhaust bein burnt out or sumfing, its the same in my mates 306 dturbo. is this true??

wen i serviced it last she was alot faster but afta a wile she went dead on me, but theres times wen its quick 0-60 then theres tyms it not, but its stil quick top end wise. ne ideas?? would ne of this be due to dirty or bad fuel injectors?? cheers in advantage :o :)

blue smoke means oil burning and things to check as its a diesel turbo is the air pipes going to the inlet because one of them is from the engine vent and gets filled with oil vapours ( same with the petrol engines ) and similar to blocked EGR valve but that tends to be black smoke, do a compression test this will tell you if it needs valve stem oil seals or low cylinder pressure allowing oil to enter the cylinders and then you get oil burn

mainly its down to cleaning all the vent pipes so the engine can breath better
