truemouse Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 The story as I understood it. Paris-Dakar in a 2cv. Strayed onto world war one minefield. Boom. real metal ladder chassis protected the driver. Took what was left that worked and made this Finished race, took 'bike' home, got it checked out by road authorities and registered it as a roadworthy bike. Rides it to 2cv meets. Look real close you can see the license plate he registered it under. Quote
truemouse Posted October 27, 2005 Author Posted October 27, 2005 No, this is unusual Town in France heard about the tax-credits you can get if you take your 2cv off the road (In some kind of governement effort to clean up the image of France, they set out to get rid of as many 2cv's as possible.) so the town had taken their ducks off road and used the money to race 'em on water. truemouse Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 They seem to take to it like a duck to water. But if you want an off-road 2cv, then . . . Quote
