The story as I understood it.

Paris-Dakar in a 2cv.

Strayed onto world war one minefield.

Boom.

real metal ladder chassis protected the driver.

Took what was left that worked and made this

Finished race, took 'bike' home, got it checked out by road authorities and registered it as a roadworthy bike.

Rides it to 2cv meets.

Look real close you can see the license plate he registered it under.

Town in France heard about the tax-credits you can get if you take your 2cv off the road (In some kind of governement effort to clean up the image of France, they set out to get rid of as many 2cv's as possible.) so the town had taken their ducks off road and used the money to race 'em on water.

Haha ok THATS unusual.

Whats wrong with these people there country has been producing the best hot hatches for the last 10-15 years and they want off road 2cv's :S

althoug admittedly i want one of those 2cv boats now!
