I.9d Startying Problem

Hi,

I am having great difficulty starting my zx elation2 1.9d in the morning. Turns over for ages and if it starts , it emits loads of whitish smoke. any ideas?

give it a service, new glow plugs - fuel filter - oil/filter - air filter, the white smoke is a build up of unburned fuel because its taking time to start up and another thing to check is air in the fuel system this on its own makes it hard to start try priming it before you start it that indicates air in the system
