Guest Peter Mann Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Because the Xantia is a rarity in Australia, the local scrappies usually disappoint.I am hoping that things will go better buying from the UK. In particular, I seek a computer for my December 1994 2.0i 8 valve. The original is a Magneti Marelli with IAW 8P.20 along the top of the label. I suspect that all Series 1 Xantias had equivalent computers, because the sensors remained approximately the same, and probably only minor improvements were made throughout the entire series. ;) Anyway, if anybody can post contact details for scrappies that handle Xantias and are reasonably honest, or has an unemployed computer they would like to turn into cash, I would be very pleased to hear from you. My eMail address is petermann@ dodo.com.auA spare stepper motor would be welcome, too. Although I replaced it 2 years ago, the eye-watering price I paid for a new one makes a used spare a good idea.Best Regards for the New YearPeter Mann Quote
techbod Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 the computer/ECU 53 pin is used in a variety of cars ZX - XANTIA - PUG 306/406 and a few more as for the stepper motor even the 1.4 zx is the same so you have a wider choice to look at Quote
Guest Peter Mann Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Thanks, Techbod. Good answer. Peugeots are a lot more common in Oz. I'll try some of the Peugeot clubs and see if that gives a way forward. However, Australian cars tend to live longer and depreciate less, so I am thinking that UK prices will be better, and would still like to have contact details for scrappies who dismantle Citroens.
