citroeneddie Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 C3 1.1 engine keeps cutting out and needs revs to get going again. Happens when engine warm or idling. Dealer thinks it is a coolant switch. Any ideas any one? Thanks in advance. Eddie Quote
citroeneddie Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Had a download to the ecu so hopefully all okay. Will keep you informed. Quote
citroeneddie Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 Thanks but we'll wait and see as it only happens about once a month. With the new download, have noticed the date stays on the screen when the radio is on. Does yours or was it like that before? I can't remember Quote
techbod Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 if the software update doesn't work then consider the idle control valve or throttle body clean out or even a split/loose vacuum line Quote
citroeneddie Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 Thanks for the advice Dave. Regards Eddie Quote
CE08LDB Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I am not sure about the Date thing on mine Eddie as I have always got the Trip Computer on Display (How Many Miles Remaining In Tank) like. ill check though and let you know Quote
greenhills Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Think I went through the same problem - was told it was a thermostat but didn't do the job - needed a download to fix the problem. Details in another C3 thread on this :-) Had no cutting out problems since Quote
citroeneddie Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Hi Greenhills Which and when was the thread on this? Thanks Eddie Quote
