beelim Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Hello again,I have a 03 HPI which when hooked up to a peugeot diagnostic machine came up with code 1113.They said it was a faulty IAT probe which I bought and fitted. The car still goes into limp mode after misfiring and resets when I restart the engine.I'm in Ireland and the HPI was never sold here so there's no working knoledge of it.Researching the web I see that 1113 can mean IAT, or for diesel engines fuel rail/ pump problems. As this is the hpi model ,could the direct injection be closer to a diesel design than the petrol engine ie high pressure pump or injectors as opposed to Intake air temp. Thanks for your time.Mark. iannez Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 it will be a iat fault. its a psa code so will be the same on all there cars. did they check the live data when it was connected to the diag tool. Quote
beelim Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Thats what I thought but then I saw this. http://www.eksacom.ru/productlist/pages/CI...c242a15e5f3e854 And then this one saying that p1113 could be either.http://www.pikit.co.uk/peugeotmt/psa%20eobd%20p%20codes.html Quote
iannez Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 that's strange. i will need to check to be sure but i don't think its right. never known there to be 1 p-code for 2 faults. i always use this site and have never had any probs.http://www.scangauge2.co.uk/DTC/PSA.html Quote
techbod Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 one thing to check is the o2 sensor as this could effect the IAT sensor, many things could cause that code and remember the code is only a guide to the problem and in most cases its something else Quote
Widowmakeruk Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 IAT is a common fault code it is also common on some readers for a fuel fault, over pressure or under pressure from the hpi pump. If available look at the live data reading to see what fuel pressure is at 30 bar at idle and upto 120 bar at 3000rpm with engine off and ignition on you should have between 5 bar and 8 bar from the tank pump. I would be looking here before spending any more money this engine also has a failure with the pressure switch located under the middle of the air intake manifold can be changed within a few minutes by a good garage. I think the switćh cost me about £35 the last time I had to change it. Quote
