Guest Visa10E Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 My cruise control stopped working today for no apparant reason, yet another problem with this useless heap of a car the other stalk still works fine does anyone have any ideas? If its a small fix I'll pay to have it sorted as its one of the few things on the car that make it tolerable to drive, if not, its added to the ever growing list of things that I'm refusing to fix on it (including the cambelt) as its more than the car is actually worth! Randombloke Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Is that an expensive fix? Unlikely, you will need to check that the clutch pedal activates the switch, and that the switch itself is working. Quote
Guest Visa10E Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 And today its started working again! What is it with these cars? Quote

72dudes Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Visa10E: Did you hear a 'bong' on startup the day the cruise control didn't work? (Like selecting Reverse) I occasionally get a bong on startup (see Post on Page 2 of Problems and Fixes). Last week it coincided with no cruise control (on a 190 mile journey :) ). However once the car was re-started, no bong and cruise control working fine. So not fuse or stalk, maybe clutch or brake switch - but while it's working I'm leaving well alone! Quote
