Guest Bodger Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Everything seems fine but the airbag and service lights come on occasionally, needless to say it has recently been serviced and there is nothing wrong with the airbags. Any ideas guy's, is there anything to worry about..?? Quote

old'uns Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 if it's one your looking to buy, i'd get the seller to fix/sort out & give some sort of assurance or at least 50% off the price :P Quote

mlkey Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Do the false fault warnings mean the system is knackered......????? I have the exact same fault, still trying to trace the critter. Seems worse on cold days, get the airbag fault and service light on first start. Switch off and restart after a couple of minutes, and it normally goes away. On hotter days (like today), does not put the warning up at all. I have checked all the earths etc, now considering changing the battery connections, they are the quick release ones, and can be turned on the terminals with relative ease, also has some corrosion on them.. Will be interested if you find this little issue before I do. Oh, on mine, its the passenger airbag its flagging.. Quote
Guest Bodger Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 ;) I have been put in touch with a guy in Cannock Staffordshire not far from where I live who is a Citroen electrics wizard with all the right diagnosis equipment apparently. I am going to see him next week, I will report back............ Quote
Guest Bodger Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Its just cost £41 to be told its the Com 2000 switch gear in the steering column causing the fault lights and it will cost a further £250 to cure with a new Com 2000. Did not get the bargain I thought I had. Quote
Guest Bodger Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 All sorted now for £80, one very happy bunny............ Quote
