As Im driving about the lights keep momentarily dimming and then come back on full power.

Its a little anoying for me, but people in front think im flashing the lights!

It happens every 30 secs or so, its not the same delay, I cant time it with anything else electrical?

Any ideas??

If you do a search it's been discussed in some depth.

1. Flickering is sometimes due to the electric pump cutting in and out as it drives the suspension.

2. Faulty COM 2000 unit sending wrong signals from dip/main control from stalk.

3. Stalk itself is knackered.

All IMO, ask a real Citroen tech for the correct answer.

Many thanks for the info, it gives me some sort of direction.

I have hard wired the main beam (larger bulbs) and it dosent do it, so it must be the control side of the system.

Many thanks for the help!

I have spent the morning fixing!

It was found to be the suspension pump operating that was causing the lights to flicker!!

I have removed the earthing tabs and found some corrosion on them, so obviously scratched them up shiney and coated them in copper slip.

I have also found the battery connections were slightly corroded and the main earthing point to the chassis.

Anyway after all this there is still a slight dim of the light when it cuts in, but no where near like it was before.

I did try a direct link to the battery earth, but it made no improvement, so it must just be down to the sheer high startup current required to turn the suspension pump!

Glad you've fixed it. We all have the flickering headlamps to some degree or another. On mine I barely notice it now, it's that instantaneous. Seems you've got yours to a reasonable level anyway.
