Guest roy collingwood Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I have a c3 stop start, 3 years old in may.Since last may (when it had its 2 year 20000 mile service, and a recall that I think replaced the switch under the break pedel, I get beep, 'stop start faulty' when sitting at traffic lights, I then have to restart the engine manually. I took it back a few weeks ago to my local dealer, he said the center tail brake light bulb had gone, he replaced it & charged me, I said it was unlikely to be that as the fault only happens every 2 weeks. It failed again on the way home. I took it in again today, the man said I needed a new battery, I think it could be something like that to cause a fault, but I would expect the fault more offen, the battery is less than 3 years old, & in my expience usually last 5 years. Any comments from citroen experts? Roy Quote
techbod Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 i would be more inclined to think idle/throttle body/vacuum leak issue but its only 3 yrs old ( the break peddle switch is an issue ) but shouldn't degrade that quick and should show a fault code-- ask him what it was Quote
