I had my undertray (at the front of the engine, with a big wad of sound-proofing) smashed and mostly removed by a disgruntled badger (I think - he came off worst, I'm afraid). I can't seem to find universal agreement on what to ask for, ie what do Citroen call that part. And when I have been understood, no breakers yards seem to have any. Can anyone suggest what I should be asking for and where I mught find a reasonably priced one?!

Thanks,

Jonathan

Usually it's called a ******** nuisance. :) But most guys understand undertray. Haynes refers to it as an undershield.

They are easily damaged. Even wind flow will break them if they aren't secured properly. Doubtful if any survive as long as the breakers yard.

Tell me about it lol!

I'm desperately trying to find one after mine made a break for it at 70mph! Now its failed the Mot cos the plastic inner arches are snagging on the front wheels - £130 for a new undertray not good news...Unless anyone can see how best to secure inner arches to something else but I can't see anywhere obvious.

At this rate I might have to 'borrow' the one on the ex wife's C5 one night hahaha

I lost the section that goes between the front bumper and the undertray - didn't loose it but it got smashed into several bits. I laid it out in bits and copies it using a sheet of aluminium. It's working fine. Shouldn't be too difficult to make an undertray the same way.

Just had the osf wheel arch liner and front cross piece which sits under the radiator replaced, and the parts were £60. plus nominal labour charge - bill came to just over £100 with vat. I still don't have the undershield that goes under the sump, but interestingly Haynes says remove this "where fitted" for an oil change - so not really essential. Arch liners are all safe and secure without the centre piece,so prabably won't bother with it.
