mx-3 Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Be grateful of any help here.I have put the wrong steering fluid in my C5 (2004). How do i completely drain the system & refill, would this be ok http://www.wilcodirect.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1349.I intend swapping the steering pump at the same time, hoping that improves the heavy steering. Johndouglas Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 The suspension and steering all work off the same system which uses LDS fluid. LDS and LHM won't mix - it foams. Draining the mixture is easy enough but without the kit to repressurize the system and a Lexia, you won't be able to get the pump running after refilling. Go to Frenchcarforum and read this topic:-http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31293&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0There's a guy called cachaciero who has an idea for doing the job without the Lexia and pressure pump.
