Hi, hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have an '02 C5 and about a week ago I felt the car wasn't running right, I could feel vibrations coming up through the clutch when maneuvring in 1st or 2nd gear and a slight drop in power, so I thought maybe I needed a fuel filter.

I was out last night and again this morning in it, and when I was trying to get up to speed when I dropped the foot the engine revved out fine and as soon as I heard the turbo kicking in I had total power loss, it was like the clutch was depressed halfway or something. I can gradually, slowly, build up speed ok, it's only if I drop the boot, move up through the revs and hit the turbo quickly (not horsing it but not old lady style either) away that I lose power.

Anyone got any ideas? I just want to get a figure in my head before I go to the mechanics as I don't want to get my pants pulled down. Only spent 500 quid on it about 3 months ago.

Sounds like your clutch is slipping

Thanks, not long driving and not too sure about these things. But yours is the second diagnosis saying the clutch so hopefully that's it. Thanks again.
