RussFM Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Hi all, Last Friday, I traded in my Peugeot 308 1.6 Hdi for a 2008 Citroen C5 1.6 Hdi Tourer (needed a bigger car, didn't want the insurance going up!). Late Saturday night, I was driving along the M6 (single lane due to road works) and the engine light came on with the 'Anti Pollution Fault' message, and the car slowly stopped itself. There was no hard shoulder thanks to the road works, so I turned it off, waited a short time, then started it up again and carried on home. Called the (non-Citroen) dealer on Sunday, and they advised to call back Monday as the service department was closed on Sundays, but as long as the car felt ok, I'd be alright to carry on driving it. On Sunday, I drove about 60miles to my parents house and back. Before I'd got halfway there, the engine light turned off. So... did it fix itself? Should I still get it looked at? Quote
Johndouglas Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Yes - let the garage know. Faults quite often go away after the ignition has been turned off - only to reappear on the next run. Quote
RussFM Posted July 14, 2010 Author Posted July 14, 2010 Ok thanks will do! At least it's still under warranty so whatever needs doing, it won't cost me. Quote
