Guest jonathan 1968 Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Hi this is my first post, actually second - I've sent this already to someone called "Little Screamer" - apologies! My query may have been dealt with on other posts - if it has please bear with me. I have a C5 estate on an 06 plate which I've had for a year and am very happy with it. I took it to France last year and it was great: roomy, comfortable, ticked all the boxes. I opted not to use those Halfords light bending stickers on the headlamps although I had a set in reserve in case the local Gendarmes caught hold of me and I could then apply them with a "tres desolee"! Citroen dealers were no help with advice on this matter although Citroen UK told me that I didn't require light adjustment because they had a flat beam. My lights aren't Xenon types just ordinary ones which I got from Halfords. Could I just replace the m with Xenons and forget about light adjustment or do I need the Halford stickers?Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Quote
Johndouglas Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 If you had factory fitted xenons you wouldn't need any beam benders or masks for EU driving. I have a letter from Citroen UK telling me so and I carry it with me when I go abroad. I don't know what the position is with aftermarket xenons other than they might be breaking the law in this country. For xenons to be legal, they need to be self-leveling and they also need to have permanent washers fitted. With your C5 suspension you will be OK on the first point but maybe not on the second. Quote
