Guest wilfb Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I have just bought a Citroen Zara Picasso desire on a 54 plate. I intend driving this to Spain where it will be left (eventually on Spanish plates). I looked at converting the headlights in the UK but this is going to cost £400 just for the parts. Hence beam deflectors. Are they legal in Spain. Advice and recommendations much appreciated. Quote
Johndouglas Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Yes - you will be OK driving your English reg Xsara Pic in Spain with deflectors. For many years I drove a Xantia there using beam deflectors and never had any bother. But then you say you want to put it on Spanish plates. To do that you'll have to submit the car for ITV and I don't think they'll pass it with beam benders on the headlights. I know one or two guys driving RHD cars in Spain which now carry local plates so the problem must be fairly easily overcome. Quote
