RAK35 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 My rear near side passenger door won't open. When I unlocked the car I opened this door at the exactly same time and wouldn't open. Normally if you lock the doors again and then unlock them all the doors open. For some reason the near side rear door won't open. I do have the child locks on the rear doors. Does anyone have a clue how I might open the door? Quote
hertsnminds Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I had something similar happen with the Pluriel. Have you used the key to lock/unlock the door (that is physically turn it in the lock) or just the remote blipper? The only time I tried to use the key to unlock the door it took 2 or 3 lock and unlock cycles with the remote until things got back to normal. I think the logic for the door locking software is based on Windows 98 code :D. because you have to reboot it just as many times. IanOrange 03 Senso Quote
Joeblunt Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Try Here: Unofficial Citroen Picasso Forum (Sounds like the Central Locking Door actuator) :D Quote

IanOrange 03 Sensless Yeah, I was going to say, try the old fashioned way. Use the key in the lock. I've found that out after someone who will remain my son got a hold of the key fob and reported to me 'Lights . . . aaaaww' in a sad grieving manner. Windows '98? Not Windows XP then? Quote
hertsnminds Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Windows '98? Not Windows XP then? No, I would consider XP almost stable compared to 98 and less likely to crash the whole system when just one thing fails. IanOrange 03 Senso Quote
wozza Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 98 liked to randomly crash so does XP but 98 at least used to come back online withoiut problems most of the time windows XP likes to give random errors. 2000 Professional is the best of the bunch well it was until my cd somehow got cracked and i had to move to XP :D Quote
Jimmo Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Hi, did you ever get this problem sorted, because i had this problem on my first Picasso 02 1.8sx after 18 months front passenger door, and on my latest Picasso 54 1.6 Desirefront drivers door, after 13 months. It is the individual door solenoid that goes faulty for no reason and the door just does not open with the central locking keypress but either front doors will open with the key or from the inside door pull. The solution is back to the garage for door solenoid mechanisim replaced.
