DesdinovaUK Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 The Berlingo has finally been given a Euro NCAP rating - 4/5 for adult protection, 3/5 for child protection and 2/5 for pedestrian protection. For comparison the Doblo is 3/5, 3/5 and 1/5 the Kangoo 4/5, 2/5 and 1/5 Quote
tronboy Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 About bleedin' time. Shame about side impact. A good result in all though! Quote
northman Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 My Berlingo is early 2002 (pre-facelift). Any idea whether these scores would apply to it, or did the 2002 facelift (or some subsequent modifications made by Citroen) make a real difference to the vehicle's crash-worthiness? Quote

tronboy Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Yes, the pre facelift version is 3*. Video of crash test and details here: http://home.zonnet.nl/CitroenCrashTest/Berlingo/ The facelift offered much needed frontal strength. The previous version had good side protection for the day, (and that was without side 'bags) but poor frontal impact protection. TronX Quote
