Guest bigsacs Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Hi, Just wondering what kind of abilities the Berlingo 2.0Hdi would have in the snow. I'm thinking with its heavy diesel engine and reasonably high ground clearance it might be quite good. Has anyone a suggestion for particular winter tyres? cheers bigsacs Quote

Will let you know how they go in a few months. Pete Quote
kaliope Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Here in Poland 99.99% car owners put on winter tyres in Novemeber and have them on until May. I do recommend have a set of winter tyres and not necessarily the top makes as they are tiwce or three times more expensive. One day guys from the vauxhall forum asked me to make a video of my winters tyres on the Zafira. This a Polish producer, Debica, and thet are great in the snow. There is actually hardly any snow it wouldn't go through. In this video I am not even riding the bus on the road, but on my plot of land, meaning there is grass underneath and the land is not flat. perce72 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I have a set of four Winter tyres Goodyear Ultragrip 250/65TR15 on 15'' steel wheels. They come with 16 steel bolts and four wheel trims and were supplied new by Citroen for my Citroen Berlingo Multispace 1.6 HDI 90.They have done approximately 1000 miles each winter (2011-2012 2012-13 2013-14) and greatly improved the Berlingo's snow performance and noticeably improved stability and braking in wet conditions. The tyres have approximately 6mm tread and the set are undamaged in any way. Unfortunately, I had to sell the car in May due to ill health so the tyres are now available for the coming winter. The tyres and wheels originally cost over £600 and are lightly used and in good conndition so I am asking £250 o.n.o.. Collection free from South Suffolk. They could be sent by courier but I have no idea what that might cost. Evidently I cannot post any photos on here but I have some available that I could Email for serious enquiries..
