Hi I have Got a zsara 2001 1.4 lx model and car has now done 76k so gonna change belt for peace of mind but cant seem to see the timing marks can some one please help with written instructions or maybe picture of where they are

There are two timing pins to insert. One goes in the back of the flywheel and the other goes into the camshaft. The hole in the pulley lines up with a hole in the head at about 2 o'clock. On the Xsara/Saxo diesel engines the flywheel takes a 6mm angled rod and the cam pully takes a 8mm bolt - sorry don't know about the 1.4

Thanks for advise found the 2 the cam pulley did take 8mm bolt and flywheel did take a 6mm bolt dam easiest cam belt ive ever changed

 

Once again thankyou agian now me car has another 5-10 years of smooth running :rolleyes:
