Many thanks Baz Quote

coastline taxis Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 supermarket fuels are cheap because they bulk them up with silicone which isnt good for your engine. Try filling it up with shell v power and a tin of injector cleaner we use fortes just out of choice. see if that makes it any better and get back to us Quote
coastline taxis Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 5w40 is for the 1.6 hdi its a very thin oil and yours will be a 8 valve engine then your putting the wrong oil in. Quote

coastline taxis Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Depends on how much fuel youve got in your tank. Idealy you should fill it to the top Quote

Guest baz57 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Thats a fine choice. Your engine should be quieter nowSorry Ive took so long to get back to you on this, had problems starting the car, turned out all 4 glow plugs went down at the same time, it still was'nt running 100% but I put some shell v power in last week and it is now running a lot better, so I would recommend shell diesel to anyone, thankyou all for your input Quote
