Guest Gilern Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hello I have a 2006 C5. My front wipers have packed up. Having taken the motor out there is voltage at the connector plug so I'm assuming the motor is faulty. There are no jammed parts and the motor will turn. The plastic cap off the motor has the copper strips in it which provide the various switching currents. I'm wondering if one of these strips is broken where there appears a thin connection across to another strip. (if you hold the cap with the plug pointing downward it appears to be a bridge between the strip from the plug to the strip on the RHS) There is no connection between the two but it is really difficult to tell if it is meant to be like this or if it has broken. I was hoping someone on here may be able to tell me. Thank you in advance Quote
coastline taxis Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 If youve got pwer at the multi plug then as you say its the motor thats goosed. it very rare to repair induvidual part now its easier to just get a replacement unit from the scrapy and put it on. If the scrappys want daft money then let is no as ive got a few of them lying around Quote
