Guest angie23 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Can anybody help us, please? We have a '54 plate C8. During the cold weather the battery went flat and then when we charged it and tried to start the car it had an Immobiliser Fault and the engine wouldn't start. I googled it and found that one way is to remove the battery, charge it, reconnect it, let the doors lock by themselves, unlock them with the key and it'll start. I posted this somewhere on the site and it worked for somebody else! It didn't work for us though... So looking on this forum again I found something similar for a C5 that said lock and unlock the passenger doors with the key, put keys in ignition, hold remote control button for 10 secs, leave for 2 mins then use remote to unlock and start the car. That hasn't worked either... Any ideas? The car is too close to the house to set fire to and we don't live near any rivers to push it into so we have to get it going somehow... Quote
coastline taxis Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 First get the battery in the remote checked or just renew it. next get the car battery checked it may have dead cells and not giving out the right voltage. Once youve done that do a search on here on how to do a bsi reset then on how to resync the key as the way youve described it isnt really right you put ignition on hold lock button for 10 seconds release lock button then take the key out and try locking/unlocking the doors and starting the engine Quote
