Guest signalhead Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 hi fellow citroen people i am a new member and have a 02 plate c5 2.0l 110bhp diesel estate and have had for 6 years.its been a bit of a roller coaster reliability wise but generally a good work horse; just a quick ask .just noticed that the engine under cover is missing.probabaly fell off, stolen or garage forgot to put back after service 3000 miles ago.will i need to replace this or is it ok to drive without it.can anyone please advise Quote
Johndouglas Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 For anyone carrying out servicing, the undertray is a nuisance. It needs to come off each time the oil is drained. But it also helps to hold together all the other plasticy bits under the car, which all tend to vibrate and break with road speed. Use the search button and you'll find topics about replacing broken wheel arch liners etc. To buy new plastic from Citroen is very expensive. Try some of the breakers advertising C5 pieces on ebay. Johndouglas Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 does anybody out there know if it would fit Don't take this as gospel - but the Citroen part numbers look the same on early C5 and facelift models. Quote
