1) I notice that this forum is for the 'Citroen Multispace' - but most of us seem to talk about our 'Berlingo', rather than our 'Multispace'. (I know I certainly do.) Does anyone out there actually talk about their 'Multispace' - or their 'Berlingo Multispace'?

2) And how do YOU say 'Multispace'? Is it the British way (mull - tea - space), or the French way (mool - tea - spas) or the middle of the channel way (mull - tea - spas)?

My gut feeling would have been the British way, but the salesman who sold us ours used a more Gallic way of speaking - which, since people always say Renault (Rubbish) 'es - pass' rather than 'es - pace', makes a certain amount of sense.

It's interesting - I have never described our Blingo as a Multispace - altohugh I suppose the dealers need to distinguish between our luxury MPVs and the van.

However the pronunciation of vehicle and manufacturer names is of paramount importance within the industry.

When Vauxhall replaced the Senator with the Omega, I was at the AA. When we received the technical info Vauxhall were most insistent that we referred to the car as the "Ohmega" rather than "Owemeega"

Hyundai insist on "h'yundie" instead of "hi - unday"

Seat don't like "sea-at" and always say "say-at"

Skoda say "Octahvia" not "Octayvia"

I'm sure there's more

Er.. Let's call the whole thing off...

I always say "Multi - Spass" because it reminds me of the incredibly sexy (in that film only) Milla Jovovic in 'The Fifth Element".

;-)
