dalex Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Ok here's hoping, I've had some extensive rewiring completed following a drastic short and burning out of some of the wiring loom, However I don't think my current problem is related. I was hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction.Car usually starts and runs no problem but occasionally and apparently at random it will not re-start (Happens when hot or cold) only way I can restart is to do a battery reset but even then I need to leave the battery disconnected for a good few minutes (I assume to clear a registered fault ) Whilst in this non starting mode I've checked the pump under the seat and can't hear it priming although there is 12v at the plug. Once the battery is reset (and I assume the fault cleared)it will start, Am I correct in thinking that this may suggest the pump may well be ok and that the fault lies elsewhere perhaps a faulty relay. If this makes sense can anyone tell me where and which relay is involved. Or even better suggest another suspect. (For info, recent new MAF and fuel filter fitted) Many thanks in advance Quote
