  1. On C5s (and probably other Citroens) if the battery is disconnected then reconnected without following the recommended procedure, then all sorts of electrical faults can appear. If you go to our "Common faults" page you'll find the correct method printed as Number 16. Find it here:- http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/20279-common-problems-rev-22122014/ Although your battery wasn't disconnected, it might well be that because it was flat, the BSI thought it was. Also a weak battery can start the electrics having erratic behaviour.
