Damn you, i was just reading one of the posts and about to say that the topic had gone off topic by talking about going off topic therefore not keeping on the topic of track days with a C4! :D
-
Who gives a toss if we go off topic?!? :P Just dont look at the topic if you dont want to! It is like when old farts complain about seeing a fricking nipple on T.V. There is a remote control in your hand................USE IT!!!!! See....off topic again, but it is very easy to do, so lets just calm down, hell i find it interesting talking to other like-minded people, however off-topic the conversation gets.

If we are going to make a competition of this...... roll over and let me take my place atop the leader board. I overtook a Lamborgini (spelling?) the other week!!! :D :) It was moving also, which helps the man points! :D I was taking some mates home after a party (the next morning i might add, if i drink, i dont drive!!) and we saw this yellow flash across a rounbdabout. There was another car nut in the car and we both knew it was a lambo. I ended up behind him (with a little re-routing) and he was joining the M25. He was in the left hand lane of the slip road going quite slow, i have always dreamed of overtaking a supercar, and i thought, 'this is my chance'. I indicated right and moved to the right-hand lane. The second he saw my indicator he was off! :D I managed to join the motorway at the same time as him, but he left no gap infront of him when he joined on, therefore he could not move out, i pulled into the middle lane (doing about 60mph) and sailed past him! :D :P :D :D

Oh, and by the way, If anyone is going to a track day (in a C4) down south(ish) i would be happy to take some pictures.
-
HAHA!!!! :P :D That would be a site to behold!!!! :)

Nothing came of it, it has been many weeks, so if there is that '2 week rule', then i should be O.K.......hopefully. The thing tomorrow is not a track day, just a skills day, skid-pan etc etc. I will do some on-road driving in my car aswell i think. The ferrari thing is not on the same day. I have found that alot of track days (especially ones driving fast cars) have a age limit, which i fall under :D A 'run what you brung' would be cool, assuming i could get over the embarrasment of having the slowest car! :) I would most likely be the best looking car though! :P

Speaking of track days, my instructor told me that it would be a good idea to take my car out on a track day, and i am looking for the opportunity! I would love to do it with some of my mates, but alot of them still have not passed!! :P :D I am going on a driving skills thing tomorrow which i am looking forward to, it also means that i get a voucher to drive a ferrari!! :) :D :D That is going to be awesome!!!!!!!!! :D

Ciaran, if you look under the carpet in the doot youll find the spare wheel and the plastic insert under there, ther is a space for the locking bolt tool :D I know, the locking bolt unlocker was in there from the day we picked her up. I never felt the need to move it, and it never caused any problems, and it was not that that jammed the glovebox, i suspect it was just caused by the parts used, not the contents.

ahhhhhh...........the old star trails, i have attempted them myself, but there was WAY too much light pollution! The whole sky goes bright orange! :o Just need to get out to a remote place in the middle of nowhere (literally)! hmmm...........think i will stick with the stuff i can do! (By the way, i used exposure ranging from 5-35 minutes for the star trails).

Above the M23 around Gatwick. I was in Three Bridges i think. The longest shutter speed is also 30 seconds, but it has a 'bulb' setting which opens the shutter for as long as you have the shutter depressed. I used my phone to time the exposure. I would imagine your sony would have it, but i may be wrong. Yeah, having a look at a review, it does have the 'bulb' setting. It is available in the 'manual' mode (it has a limit of 3 minutes i think).

dealer pack is under the seat (as it always has been!!). The only thing in the glovebox is the security bolt loosener!!! The first time it happened was my fault, too much stuff in there (still not the dealer pack though! :P ), i had an ice scraper in there. That jammed it up. This time, however, there was nothing in there that could jam it! :o

Just found out today that citroen have taken the glovebox off their warrenty scheme!! :o What a fucking joke!! That is the 3rd glovebox now! I think that it is ridiculous that they can just take something off their warrenty like that!

I have loads of books and mags at home, not all are techniques but they have all helped me loads. I now use my camera in "manual" all the time. My favorite mag is "amateur photographer" (it is weekly) but it does not have much of the technique side of things. The shutter was left open for 2 minutes on that particular pic.

I think you may want to take your "For Sale" post down.........now! :P You the hell is going to buy your car, if it is SOOOOO bad!!!!! Think that was a rather large mistake!
-
oooooo, low blow!(To Nikon) :( If i had a spare 5grand (which i dont!) i probs would not spend it on a camera, If it had to be photograhically minded, then it would be a couple 500/600mm prime lenses :o Are you talking about the 30D or the 350D?

I dont have the time at the moment to clean it! :o :( So i have ended up going to a new carwash that is 'non-scratch'. It does exactly what is says on the tin!! :P It is really good, you get someone pressure wash the car, then it goes in the machine, gets washed, hot waxed (whilst the underbody gets sealed) the dried, then dried with cloth! Looks amazing when it is done!! :D mind you.........it better do for £8.50!! :o :o  Have no money to do it anymore, due to the D80 purchase! :o Money well spent i say! :P That reminds me, i took a pic with it last night over the motorway! Will get it up now. Combining two of my passions in life! :D :D

I went into the crawley citroen dealership a couple of weeks ago and asked about the spoiler, they quoted £700!!!!!!! :o I left, quickly! :P The website says around £188 (i think), how much did the people who got it fitted aftermarket pay for the spoiler and fitting?!?! Thanks p.s I have made the desicion to get the spoiler because i saw a VTS in the dealership yesterday!! The side windows are the same as mine (i.e not any darker) but the rear window is much darker! I also could not see that it was any lower than the C4 (hatchback) that it was parked next to! (or mine?!?) Anyway, back on the topic, i really the spoiler now, just dont have any money (literally :()
-
I am talking about citroen taking you for a ride for actually fitting the cable! They quoted me £90!! <_< <_< ;)
-
Ham, did you have it installed by a professional or yourself? and where did you put the display? any pics? Cheers
-
You will need to take the car into a citroen dealership so that they can enble the aux port 1 or 2(?). I am sure someone will tell you the right one tonight! ;) Then it is a case of being ripped off and getting citroen to fit it for you OR: fitting it yourself (easy work!!!). Fit it yourself! Right, off to take pics of my setup. They will be on here sortly.

There is a slight difference between a new car (just for the weekends) and a r/c truck and D-SLR :o :o Also, the truck was a birthday present (this year) from MARCH!!! Just had problem after problem <_< :D just used it for 30 mins today, and the electrics are f*cked! <_< :( My bank statement will be £0 tommorow :( So not too much money! ;) :D

I have a new toy, and it is car related! A nitro r/c truck. F*ck me it goes!!! :o :D Handles like a fly aswell, you can slide it all over the place! My other toy is going to be picked up tommorow! Nikon D80! :D Cant wait to start taking pics with it! That does mean that i will be considering selling my D50...........any offer? I may keep it also, as a back up  Right, off to play......... (actually work, then play! <_< ) Anybody done the I.B?!? F*ck there is alot of work!!!!!!! :o <_< ;)

I have that cable to. I also have an LCD screen that connects to the ipod so i can change tracks safely. It is alright to see the track name, but too small to see the artist (on the go!) in the daytime, at night it is illuminated by a blue light, but that makes it hard to see words. Overall it makes my life with music in the car very easy! It does suck battery life out of the ipod though!!! I will get a piccie up soon! It keeps the ipod hidden, and i can hide the wires. I keep on meaning to get around to file a small hole where i keep the ipod so that the door can shut properly, but it works very well at the moment!
