Anyone got their donny tickets yet? Im still waiting.
  9. Wozza ive looked into the remap this is an option, It gives you 118bhp and 189lb/ft of torque which is an improvement over the 110. What if I could get the vts and remap that mmmmm that would be quick :P
  10. Hi moggy really like the car in silver, hope to see you at the meet seeing as your from up north.
  11. Cheers guys your helping me to make my mind up a little bit. Not sure if the extra torque or power makes a massive difference having never driven a 110, but hopefully at the meet someone will be kind enough to let me have a ride in the 110 and see if it is worth the extra dough. I do really like my car especially in red, and as for the toys well there are one or two I would like, like the armrest (think these can be retro fitted?). Mind you I do have my eye on a hdi vts which I think would be worth the extra cash. Think i need a little more time to think about it.
  12. Hi im selling my C4 in wicked red on an 05 plate it is the 92bhp hdi vtr cheap tax at £60 for 6 months, group 4 insurance and is actually very nippy. It is has a full dealer history, serviced just 2 weeks ago, and comes with 6 months road tax, and is in absolute mint condition having covered 26 k. The reason im selling is I bought it from a citroen dealer 2 weeks ago and was in the knowledge it was the 110bhp version(my mistake not the dealers). So this is the reason for the sale @ £8800 ive checked autotrader and the rest and there isnt a cheaper vtr hdi out there. Anyone interested is welcome to come and inspect just get in touch.
  13. Hi I have a wicked red C4 and mine came with mud flaps on the front and rear and I think they look good kind of give it a rally look. Ive seen some on ebay for about £4-£5 yesterday.
  14. Hi welcome to the forum great choice of car. Make sure when you go to the dealer to ask about recalls as there are about 5 or 6! Ive just had the latest recall which is something to do with the wiring in the indicators, but I only found out about this when I went in for repairs the other day. Make sure you come to the meet on the 10th of September youll pick up plenty of tips and advice. There is a seperate thread for this were you can put your name down.
  15. Great news there is nothing better than picking up your new car! Post some pics asap. You going to bring it to the meet?
  16. jonfish that made me chuckle about greasing them because when my car was in yesterday to fix an oil leak (faulty seal on the turbo) I complained about the rear suspension. When I came back to collect the car I asked what they had done and he said dont worry we have greased them but for me to keep an eye on them. Safety engineer agree contis are great , michelins always seem to last a while as a ive heard this before but to be honest id rather have the contis anyday even though they are quite expensive.
  17. Also when I went into a citroen dealer when I was looking at new cars she actually said forget the 35% and I could have 0% over 4 years so if anyones after a new one dont be put off by the big deposit or the 2 years. Seems like Citroen are trying to give them away.
  18. Wozza maybe I just need to drive it a bit more only had it for a week so bit early to give a verdict. I think the motorway ride is great and the noise levels are very low. I read once they were best in the class. I just dont get on with the michelins im on 16's and im sure they are michelin energy tyres which I hate. The fronts are also near the end of their life so that wont help. I think your michelins are probably a higher model, as i only have 16's
  19. I inflated my tyres yesterday as the ride didnt feel right beforehand. They were all at 2.1 bar, but I inflated them to what it says inside the door which like your saying is more at the rear than the front. Something like 2.3 front 2.7 back(approx guess without looking) but im still finding the low speed ride well a bit crashy. I thought the C4 in the vtr spec at least had quite a comfortable ride??? I also cant wait to ditch those god damn awful michelins. The girlfriend has them on her golf and i hated them then. Noisy ,uncomfortable , give me my conti premium conatacts anyday of the week. They are the best all round tyre Ive had for grip, wear, ride comfort and the trump card they are ultra silent. There maybe better handling tyres but none that are so good in so many areas, and no i dont work for Continental tyres!!
  20. Coupe for sure, even though I think the 5 door is a good looking car in its own right, its the distinctive lines and shape of the coupe that do it for me.
  21. Hi Ciaran I bought my C4 last week and I managed to get £500 off the asking price and got 6months tax thrown in and that was from a main dealer. Im on my seventh car now and have managed to get substantial amounts off most of the cars ive bought. The key is to show you are very interested in the car and would like to buy that day. Take it for a test drive first without agreeing anything, take your time dont rush into it, make them work for your buisness. Say you have cash to pay for the car but can only afford a certain amount. If the car is up for £8000 say you can only really afford £7500 and maybe go to £7700 as a last resort but make him work to get you up to this point. The longer your in the showroom the more he will want to sell you the car. If he wants more keep him in suspense and you should get the deal you want. Remember you hold all the aces.Always keep in mind if you walk away he has lost a sale. Its also prime time end of the month so you should secure some kind of money off.
  22. Sorry to hear that. I had a similar problem when a forklift reversed into my old car , dont ask lol So you have my sympathy.

    Hi

Hi welcome to the forum were a friendly bunch so feel free to ask any questions. We are having a meet on the 9th September near Manchester if your interested in meeting fellow owners. There is info about this in another topic named C4 meet. Anyway enjoy the forum ;-)
  25. Hi Ciaran im in Lancashire where abouts are you? Ill be honest a diesel wont sound as good as a petrol but it will feel quicker. As diesels go though it is pretty quiet. The turbo boost from just under 2000 rpm is also very addictive, plus you get more pull on the motorway. Mix that with amazing fuel consumption and group 4 insurance its very cheap to run. Also red is one of the best colours check out the poll. The car has just been serviced by citroen in Barnsley, has 6 months tax, oh and is on an 05 plate with 26k on the clock. I know what car you want is a very personal decision so its up to you.
