I was told by IBM themselves. The entry-level p series servers run single or dual core Power5 CPUs. These are relatively common. I have to agree though, it did sound a bit overkill!

Hi, I recently learnt that many cars (not sure which makes) use the IBM Power5 CPU to control various electronic functions. Knowing that these are used in high end computing environments, I'd be interested to know what kind of computing components are used in the C4, if anyone would happen to know?

Has anyone had a Bluetooth installed by a Citroen dealer as opposed to having it installed at the factory before delivery? I understand that it will provide the same function - i.e. it will provide hands-free for a mobile - but isn't quite the same as the Bluetooth option which is factory-fitted. What does it include exactly, what does it look like? The dealer tells me that it will do the same as the factory-fitted Bluetooth, but I want some confirmation.

I occasionally get a bit of static when I get of my Picasso - it's down to the nylon floor mats I bought. Consider changing your mats? As for the price, yes that's for a new one. I would consider used normally but a) I want the car now and don't want to wait and :o my girlfriend doesn't like the idea of a used car!

Hi, I am looking at buying a C4 1.6 HDI VTR+ EGS. I already have a 3yr old Citroen Picasso, so am familiar with their build quality and reliability. However, I have been advised that newer Citroens and Peugeots rely too much on electronic technology and gadgets which are prone to failure - do you find this to be the case, or can I expect a C4 (bear in mind it has the EGS semi-auto gearbox) to be as reliable as my Picasso (which has only ever needed a couple of lightbulbs replacing)?
