Hi, Have a look at this link ;) ......practicalcaravan.com/towcar/winners

Why post the same question four times in three different sections of the forum???? ;)

Hi, I've had Avons on another car and they didn't last very long! :(
-
Hi, My Berlingo had recently been feeling a bit lethargic when accelerating and although it's due for a service, I thought there must be something amiss! I had a look on the Picasso site, as they tell you how to adjust the slack out of the throttle cable over there! I moved the clip one notch up the thread as described and the car now feels much more responsive from stationary and when on the move too...No more foot to the floor to keep up with other traffic!! Cheerz :(
-
Hi, Berlingos normally come on Continentals or the equivalent Michelins. My front Michelins lasted about 30k miles and the rears are still ok at 50k miles, so I personally would avoid the budget brands and go for Michelins or a decent brand....they cost a bit more initially though! Cheerz :(

Hi, One of the bulbs on my display seems to have failed and I've tried lifting the front of the cover but it won't move! I don't want to end up causing any damage....Any tips? Cheerz. :)

Hi, That sounds a fair price, as the price guides tend to err on the low side and the Berlingo tends to be advertised generally for more than book price. The petrol Desire model with aircon is quite rare!...If I could get £5800 for mine I would be quite happy! Cheerz.
-
Hi, Trade in price will depend on whay you're trading it against and whether they want to make the sale!...Price to change is what really matters here. Looked in Parkers price guide the other day and trade value was about £4,500 and private sale about £5000, for a Desire 1.6 petrol. You see them advertised privately on Autotrader for more and the Desire 1.6 with aircon (like mine) is quite rare! Cheerz.
-
Hi, How is the HDi diesel for noise and performance?...I recently had the use of a basic 1.9D van and the performance was appalling and the noise was bad too! Driving our petrol version feels like a sports car in comparison! Have been thinking of going down the diesel route as the 1.6 petrol economy is pretty useless on the Berlingo! What sort of deals are there at the moment from Citroen? Cheerz
-
Hi, What year of Berlingo is it?....You haven't got auto wipers have you? Cheerz.
-
Hi, I will have to have a look...Probably end up breaking it knowing my luck! Cheerz.
-
Hi, Could possibly be an immobiliser problem?... as this is controlled by the ignition key.If the immobiliser is set it lets you turn the engine, but it wont start! Cheerz,
-
Hi, Do the body colour painted door mirror trims detatch easily from the main mirror housing? The wife has scratched the drivers side one on a corner of a wall and I want to repaint the trim if possible. This would be easier if it was off the car! Cheerz.

Hi, Try putting some grease on the latch mechanism...Ours does the opposite and sticks open sometimes, some grease does the trick! Cheerz ;)
-
Hi, My 1.6 petrol has dropped from around 34mpg to just under 30mpg of late!...Part of my daily commute is motorway and this seems to hit the consumption quite hard. Cheerz. :D
-
Hi, I stuck with Michelins in the end....Don't seem to have as much grip as the originals though! Cheerz. :D
-
Hi, Now that there's a new model Berlingo on the not too distant horizon, it might be a good time to sell the current model before the resale values decrease too much! But then again...Could always wait to see what the new model is like?
-
Hi, Like the matt black finish! :D ....Makes it look like a Fiat Doblo on steroids though! :o

New 2007 Berlingo film footage!.... Berlingo Spy shots! http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphotos/6061222.001/6061222.001.1M.jpg

Hi, That Logan reminds me somewhat of the Matra Rancho ;) http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/images/thecars/devrancho_01.jpg I would like to change our Berlingo but can't find anything as cheap, chic and practical!...Might have to go down the route of buying a Picasso, although they're just so common!
-
Hi, Checked the brake fluid and the level was down below the MAX mark, but above the MIN mark. Topped it up and haven't had the STOP sign come on again...Yet! Cheerz.
-
Hi, Just noticed this old thread!...I'm getting poor mpg figures recently, whereas before I was getting about 34mpg, this has dropped to high twenties! With regard to loss of power when you depress the accelerator, I had a similar problem, where the car used to run out of steam on the motorway. The Dealer couldn't find a problem, but I fixed it by checking all the under bonnet electrical connectors...one had come loose on the top of the engine.Once snapped back together, the engine was returned to full power!
-
Hi, The fuel consumption of my 1.6 Berlingo seems to be getting worse!....The last tank only averaged 29.7 mpg, even with me driving relatively carefully!...Perhaps there's a problem? I know, I know!....At this rate I will have to consider an oil burner! A relative has recently bought a Picasso 2.0 HDi and they appear to be getting more like 50 mpg!
-
Hi, I blew the fuse on my cigar lighter/12v socket recently, when I connected up my tyre inflator air compressor. There was a spare fuse in the spare bulb pack in the boot, which I must replace! Cheerz.
-
Hi, Checked the oil level not long ago and it was ok...But I haven't checked the brake fluid level! The warning light came on again, momentarily this week, whilst braking for a roundabout. Will check under the bonnet, once the rain and wind stop! Cheerz.
