Hi, I was coming off the Motorway the other night and I braked quite hard at the end of the slip road . As I came to a halt at the junction a red STOP sign illuminated briefly under the speedometer. It did this twice for a split second each time. I continued home at a steady speed and the light hasn't come on again. What will have caused it?...there weren't any other warning lights on at the same time. Cheerz.

Hi, Welcome.....Best choice of colour too! :(...Did someone mention Gibbons? ;)

Hi, Hopefully the Berlingo wont soldier on as long as the Visa/C15  ! I don't know what to replace our Berlingo with and was hoping that a new model would arrive before we decide to change! All the latest mpv type cars are too expensive and the van derived cars such as the Diabolical and Renault (Rubbish) (Rubbish) Renault (Rubbish) (Rubbish) Renault (Rubbish) (Rubbish) Kang(ar)oo are horrible!! Now if the new C4 Picasso was going to be cheaper.....! http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2006/08/03/017049.2-lg.jpg The older Xsara Picasso is still being made and is quite cheap, but it doesn't have the charm of the Berlingo !
-
Hi, The new C4 Picasso looks like a nice car, so hopefully the new Berlingo will be a good'un too! Commercial vehicles seem to have a longer shelf life than family saloons though....And the replacements seem to take longer to emerge. Cheerz.

Hi, I replaced my wiper blades at 2 years old with Bosch ones from Halfrauds. Although they look identical to the original Citroen Bosch blades, they do seem to be of an inferior quality!....The rear wiper arm is easy to break when changing the rear blade too! I've recently covered the front, side and rear screens with RainX and so over about 50mph, the water beads and just runs up the screen, with only an occasional flick wipe needed, even in fairly heavy rain! :D Cheerz. :P

Hi, We have 1.9D 'Lingo vans at work and they give your right leg serious strain from having to keep the gas pedal planted to the floor to make progress! I used one for a few days when my car was being repaired and our 1.6 Petrol seems like a high performance car in comparison!
-
Hi, Thanks!....What else will I need to remove to slide the top piece forwards? :P
-
Hi, My clock/radio display in the centre of the dash has a problem whereby the display doesn't always fully illuminate. A sharp tap on the top left of the dash above the display, does however usually restore it! How do you access the rear of this display to check for a faulty connection or bulb? Cheerz. ;) http://www.citroen.co.uk/pics_GBR/Berlingo%20Multispace/Gallery/Postcards%20June%2006/05X46341x202.jpg

Hi, I recently did the same for the 37.5k service and used a local garage. The mechanic who did the service used to work at the main Citroen dealer and it was his writing in the service book from the previous service! Price was about £165 instead of £335-350! There was no way I was paying that much to service a Van! Cheerz. :D
-
So when's the new model Berlingo coming out?....Probably best to wait for that? :D
-
Try finding a virgin nowadays!! :D :D

Hi, I was getting mixed up with brake fluid/clutch fluid and power steering/autobox fluid! I searched through my garage and found the right fluid eventually....Not brake fluid! Cheerz.
-
Hi, My power steering fluid needs topping up slightly, since it's come back from having some front end repairs. Do I need to buy special steering fluid, or is it the same as brake fluid?....I've checked the handbook, but it doesn't say what's the recommended lubricant! Cheerz.

Hi, Have you tried http://www.eurocarparts.com/ ?....They can supply lots of Berlingo and Partner parts at lower prices than Citroen/Peugeot ask! Woth ringing them if they don't display the required part on the web page. Cheerz.
-
Hi, Just had two quotes from Citroen dealers....£335 and £350! :P As far as I can see, the only difference with this service, is the spark plugs are changed! Think I shall use my local garage instead! Cheerz. :P
-
Hi, My Berlingo's 3rd main service at 37.5k miles is due.How much should I be looking to pay? It's a 1.6 petrol. Cheers.

The thieving monkeys!!!
-
Hi, Just had new Michelin front tyres fitted as the originals were getting a bit low on tread after 32.5k miles. Was quoted for various other makes, but decided to stick with the same make as before, although I see some new Berlingos have Continentals fitted. The difference in improved general handling and grip is much appreciated, but the new tyres are much quiter too; especially on the motorway. The originals were getting bald on the outside edges, but then I do tend to corner quite hard, when the family aren't aboard!! Cheerz. :P
-
Hi, The brakes on my '04 non-abs equipped Blingo have recently become quite "spongy"...Probably because I didn't have the fluid changed, at extra cost!... as recommended at the last service! Shall have to get the system bled and renewed soon! Cheerz. :P

Hi, I usually use the aircon once a week in the winter to keep it fresh! It's useful for demisting quickly in damp weather anyway. Cheerz.
-
Hi, It's not coming from the air con, as that's fine...It's definitely the washer reservoir! I may just have to see if I can remove the bottle from the wing area and give it a good disinfecting! Cheerz.
-
Hi, On a different note...I changed the wiper blades for Bosch ones from Halfrauds, which although they look the same as the Citroen originals, don't seem to perform nearly as well. Cheerz.
-
Hi, It isn't Holts screen wash but Carplan all season blue stuff which smells like meths and makes you momentarily high! I've tried the bottle without screenwash too and it's just the same.We had the same problem at about this time last year...as soon as it got warmer. Smells like bad eggs (sulphurous) and cat pi$$ mixed together! Cheerz.
-
Hi, My Berlingo suffers from smelly washer bottle syndrome! Although I use screen wash in the bottle and fill up with water regularly, the Blingo only has to be parked in the sun for a short time for there to be a putrid smell emanating from the washers  Anyone else have this problem?....What's the cure? Cheerz
-
Hi, I keep the spare bulbs, first aid kit and fire extinguisher in the net pocket at the side of the boot.....There's just TOO many storage solutions in the Blingo! Cheerz. :)
