  1. Actually this is the first time in 40 years of motoring I've ever got someone else to change a bulb! However, I do accept your point. Had it not been hosing down from the heavens and I didn't have a 300 mile round trip to do later that night, I'd have done it myself. Miles from anywhere in the middle of the night, I'd limp home on one dip and a sidelight, using the front fogs if I had to, (mines an SX with fogs), changing the damn thing the next day, (Unless it was hosing down etc. etc.).I wouldn't bother the RAC/AA for a bulb.
  2. I wonder where they get their prices from? Took mine to our local Main dealer today for a n/s dip bulb as, in pouring rain, I didn't fancy doing it myself. It took 20 minutes, they apologised for taking so long!! The total price was £11.00+vat and I got free coffee in a nice warm showroom while the job was done. After I mentioned the horror stories I'd heard about water ingress, the service manager went out himself to check that the job had been done properly before handing the car back. Credit where credit is due, I say. They impressed me this afternoon.
  3. Hi, There's an owner's manual complete with all the bits and wallet for sale on E-Bay at the moment. Item No. 140171112579. Ending 29th October. No bids as yet, starting at £4.99, postage £2.00.
  4. Just noticed there's a set of front flaps on E-Bay at the moment. Genuine Citroen, new and boxed for £10 'buy it now'. Finishing 8th September. A bargain for someone.
  5. I've had mine for 9 days now and must admit it's been an absolute delight. I haven't found any major faults yet. The 'Moduboard' floor is clever, but rattles and will probably be removed soon and the tendancy for the fuel guage to go from quarter full with 2 lights to 'fuel warning' in an instant was a bit disconcerting. (Anyone know how much fuel is left when that happens?) I'm keeping it well topped up from now on. Invested in some new fitted mats and a set of headlamp stonguards and I'm going to price some new wheeltrims as the fronts were slightly scuffed by the previous owner. The car is almost 5 years old, but looks and drives like a 2-year old. I did a 110 mile round trip last Sunday in total comfort, which, considering I have a back problem was great. Early days but I'm well satisfied. Nice car. :(

  7. Hi, I'm in a similar position, as I put my deposit down yesterday on a '52' Reg C3 1.4HDi SX. I'm picking the car up on Thursday. I've run F*at Seicentos for 6 years and am amazed to find something even more economical than them! The C3 feels more solid and sits better on the road. It comes with all the bells and whistles I could want apart from alloys and running costs seem astonishing! As you say, people tend to give voice to their dissatisfaction on these forums, but we rarely hear from the many thousands who have bought these cars over the last 5 years and not only adore them but would no doubt buy another. Reading between the lines, many if not most of the gripes are with poor service and cr*p dealers. Citroen don't have a monopoly on this, many F*at dealers are worse! Let's compare notes in a month or two and see if we made the right choice?
