Done 880 miles now car running O.K. Still don`t like junctions, couple of time car seems to not know what gear it in and revs a I try to pull away but hardly moves, get a judder on the clutch then its goes. Average MPG reading has been about 3 mpg higher on car that actual MPG . car 42.2 actual 39.0 overall average for 840 miles 37.5MPG. Still like car just be glad when i`ve got the hang of the gearbox. I have been driveing more in manual last few days its is a little better if you remember to change to 1st before you get to the junction. Wipers work loads better on this one that my 52 plate, they had a mind of their own and would go very fast in light drizzle. Like to climate control, set and forget. A lot less room in the back but not really a problem like the moduboard. May book it in for first service soon.then I can get my DVD player in, also have a reversing camera I may fit, but this depends on how well it works and if I can fit it without to many problems. Seem to have side airbags as standard on mine, used to be option.

Not seen anything like that on my Exclusive model which has an alarm, no idea what that is.

As far as I remember the pre-heatlight is not always on long enough to see as they heat up much quicker these days. I can not remember seeing it on my Xantia 2.0HDi. How do you find the sensodrive gearbox.

My car was made on the 3rd march 2005 according to the ORA RP number. So 3 weeks old when I had it, takes a while for delivery. Car still running O.K. done about 500 miles now. Got used to the Sensodrive on the open road changeing gear by paddles and auto both fine. Still don`t like it at junctions where you come to junction few mph and then want a quick get away, (roundabouts for example) , its normally still in 2nd and lefts the clutch out with a jerk or slips it alot than jerks it out, does not seem to pull of vey quick and creeps out of the junction once it gets going its fine. Tried chaging to 1st manual an just seems to get confused and slips the clutch a lot without much movement. Had the jerking clutch at a junction when moveing off slow as well seems to need the change down sooner. It makes me think of someone going too slow in 2nd so slipping the clutch and try to pull off again in second rather that dropping to first. The turning circle is very poor towards the Jazz takeing some getting used to parking in car park spaces. Overall quiet pleased with the car just washed it this morning again

Think I agree about the lights seem to come on a lot just slight amount of rain and they come on. My old C3 was manual and I was having problems with the clutch, me not the car, I couldn`t get a test drive in Sensodrive other than on a car park on gravel. So went for the Jazz smooth gearbox (CVT) lacks electrical equipment and hard suspension but was very reliable 22 months. First auto was a BX 1.6 TRS really nice car other than problems with petrol evaperation in hot weather, was tempted to buy a BX 1.9 gti on Ebay few months ago but could not justify 2 cars it looked in good condition. Was thinking about the C2 VTR when I bought this C3 but it spec was not very good air con was extra and not climate control. They stopped doing the manual Exclusive its a VTR now with less spec and more sport styleing.

To be honest I think the things the exclusive has over the SX is a rip off. The draw was not on last C3 I because I had the in dash 5 CD changer, i`m not bothered about it this time because I have a double din DVD player to fit in after 1st service. It comes with dark grey leather steering wheel which I like. It should have the electric folding mirrors and reversing sensors fitted and was dissapointed about the mirrors but they were no listed on the website. My old Exclusive did not have auto electric lights, MPG computer and dark interior. Had rear electric windows in Honda Jazz hardly ever use them The MPG computer does not seem very acurate been out to day it dropped from 47.1 to 46.3 when I first started off and has not altered in the 60 or so miles I have driven. The Honda Jazz would alter small amounts if driveing in traffic and open road being an average MPG it should creep up or down a little. Filled car with petrol 270 miles 7.19 gallons computer said 46.3. MPG I work it out as 37.5 this works out as about 1.4 gallons out could be that the garage never filled it as much as me. Honda was always about 2 MPG more that my calculations. Just looked at MPG for my old C3 Exc. Manual over 4000 miles the average was 36.8 MPG which was over winter and mostly short journeys to work. Highest was 46 first tank full probably went a long run lowest was 31.5 MPG middle of winter. Shall see how it does over next few weeks.

Done about 200 miles now. Sensodrive seems to work alright most of the time, only problems are slowing down at give way signs stays in second and if you put your foot down a little to pull out of the junction it seems to slip the clutch and bang in gear sometimes. (found out knocking it in first when slow seem to work a lot better) Few times it has not pulled away as quick as I thought, could be my driveing style try to keep revs low for running in period. Did overtake one vehicle and it seemed to preform well even thought did get a little over 4000 revs, by the way the car I passed was a 52 plate C3 going rather slow. Speed warning buzzer is no good way to quiet. Auto lights come on in garage. Wiper not worked in rain yet but washed screen and they miss 2 inches by the drivers A pillar, surprised they have not improved this they were like that on my 52 plate. Altered the arms a couple of notches did this on old C3 too. Average MPG 47.1 but the computer is most likely wrong.

At last got car free mats cheap ones not Citroen and tank filled with petrol but paid for £20 worth anyway. Salesman said sorry about delay etc. May not have service done there anyway. Now the C3 well No electric folding mirrors. :o Delay on electric windows works with ignition switched off. :D Draw under stereo not there. :blink: Seems to have lost a few items on the exclusive. Sensodrive is O.K. not made my mind up yet, jerked a few times, could be me not used to it yet. Not tried manual yet only been work and back. Love the new darker interior colour. Rained on car already :P

24th March 10.00am. Went to pick car up arrived a dealer at 9:55 Sales person "I was just about to phone you sir car won`t be ready until 2.00pm" Me "I`m a work at 2:00pm" :ph34r: Sales Person "I`ll check" "1:00pm sir" Me "how about some mats for my trouble" Argue with him the date was 2nd march he says it was not etc. Full tank of petrol most I could get. Not very happy with dealer at all. :( This is my 26th car only had trouble once before with same dealer will I have another car from them noway. Hope the cars better than the dealer.

Sensodrive does not work like a Automatic. It is a normal five speed gearbox and clutch with electric controls to change gear and operate the clutch. You must use the handbrake on a hill or it will roll back. Also as I understand it if you leave it in gear and handbrake on and engine off the gearbox does help to hold the car on a hill.

Garage phoned today said that had a date of the 24th March 2005 for my car :rolleyes: . Its going to be a long 3 weeks 2 days.

Mine will be Wicked Red same colour as last one I had. My Jazz is Ice Blue similar to Tuscan C3 colour and it is terrible to keep clean, although all cars are in this weather. Read alot of bad reports about sensodrive jerking went changeing gear etc. Is it just that people don`t like autos or are they worst than manuals when changing gear. Seemed O.K. on test drive with XTR model tried in manual a little, found it a little aqward after CVT Jazz, but the Jazz has 7 gears, which I think is too many has its revs hardly change. I think the longer I wait the more nervous I get about the gearbox, wish it would hurry up. Where are C3`s made now France or Spain?

Not heard anything about mine :D. They have sent me the form to Register the vehicle but can not insure it until I get a delivery date, still say end of March :o . I hope it comes before Easter Holidays, hate waiting for new cars, told 2 weeks they had deposit and then said 6 weeks, last time I use that dealer. Had a Rover few years ago and they could look on there computer and check delivery dates. They even went through different coulours to find quickest delivery date. Don`t know why Citroen can`t do this. It will be intresting to see the MPG on the Sensodrive as I had a manual gearbox 2 years ago. Only averaged 36 MPG on the other but it was winter and only 7.5 miles journey, have got a Honda Jazz at the monment it only manages 41 MPG average in two years. It struggling in the cold to get 38 to 40 MPG going to work in the cold, but it has done 55 to 60 MPG in summer on longer journeys.

Had a phone call from the Citroen garage thought great they have found me a car. Only telling the registration No. :D. Whats the use of the Reg. No. without a car.

I ordered mine on 13/02/05 for delivery on 02/03/05 after promiseing they could get it for that date. They phoned on 15/02/05 to say there are none in the country and it will be 6 weeks. So annoyed doing my head in waiting, gettiing nervous reading the problems people are have with thier cars. They said that they could not get one in any colour any quicker. when did you order yours and when is it due.

When your turn the ignition off you have 30 second to shut the electric windows. If you have no delay you turn off the ignition and can not close the windows. My old C3 had this but Honda Jazz does not.

I want to change my stereo to a kenwood DDX 7205 dvd double din. Kenwood say it will fit the C3 but the fitting is not the problem. Fitted a Pioneer in old 2002 model O.K. My worry is the Fuel computer,( noticed on one of the other Citroen forums that the fuel computer does not work after changeing the stereo. ) When I fitted the stereo to the old C3 the display behaved erraticily until I disconnected the battery. So anyone fitted a new Stereo to a later C3 and still got the fuel computer.

I may be wrong that it had not got onboard computer but I never found it on mine, I had it 6 Months. I`ve had a Honda Jazz nearly 2 years it only displays ave MPG. My new C3 on order should have the computer, but seems it may not have Folding Mirrors and 30 sec delay on electric windows, if it does not have the delay I will be dissapointed folding mirrors I can live without.

I had a Nov 2002 Exclusive and it did not have a onboard computer or auto lights :D , think that started putting them on later.

Does the computer know when you refill or do you have to reset it. Have not got mine yet so was just wondering.

Why is it the dealers promise a date of 2 March take deposit and phone 2 days later phone and say they can not get one for 6 weeks. :D Any one know if the folding mirrors ar still on new cars and what to "pack look" that is listed on citroen site consists of.

I have just ordered a C3 1.6 Exclusive Sensodrive I asked the dealer if the folding mirrors were still standard, they did not know for sure but thought they where. They had no brochures left so could not look. Hope I have done the right thing buying Citroen Sensodrive seems a lot of problems on here with lots of different models
