  1. Her in doors is on her 3rd C3 Exclusive: 1st was a 53 plate Wicked Red Sensodrive Exclusive, bought and ordered from new and was a lovely car to drive, polished up well too. 2nd was a 55 plate light blue Sensodrive Exclusive, which again she ordered from new and specced up with leather interior. However, the local Citroen dealer carries a Zero award for after sales customer service, so never went back. 3rd was a 59 plate Wicked Red Automatic Exclusive with leather interior, purchased 2nd hand with 11k on the clock for £5600 Looked on the www and all the others with upto 20k were going for £6500+, had the car two weeks now and its bloody stunning and never went anywhere near the local shysters. Good deal on a very low mileage full history car, well happy she is..... Gary Salisbury
  2. Hi, Can anyone tell me if you can connect the ipod to the citroen vtx+ radio/cd system (the car has the satnav system installed). Cannot find the radio/satnag user manual, any help would be appreciated. Cheers Gary
  3. I'd listen to Coastline and heed his advice. I had a similar thing and it was a simple fix, change the fuel filter and all was okay..............
  4. Paul, thank you, it appears it won't fit, mine has the rear wiper and the Mk1 doesn't have the cut out, but thanks for the advice. Cheers Gary
  5. Hi all, got the chance to buy a good parcel shelf from a 2001 car with the rear blind fitted, but will it fit the 2007 VTX+, any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers all Gary
  6. Hi, I have the 07 2.2hdi VTX+ 6 speed auto with 59k on the clock (most of it m'way mileage) and I've found the type of fuel makes a big difference. Sainsburys City Diesel only gives me 38-39 mpg no matter how I drive, but Shell normal diesel gives me 47+mpg even cruising at 70-75 mph. I have tried it a couple of times all with the same results, so saving 1p a litre at Sainsburys is a big false economy for me...............
  7. John, It's still available, take your pick: Amber/Orange Car Bulb Colour Tinting Lacquer/Paint 12ml £4.95 - PassionAuto.co.uk Granville Amber Light brush on bulb paint £4.99 - Direct Car Parts Gary
  8. When you think about your statement, it is probably quite true............lol My brother in law used to put £600+ of fuel per week in his Range Rover Sport petrol (company fuel card), he now has a diesel and gets nearly 20 mpg......p1llock that he is........
  9. Dave I used to drive one professionally (and fast at times) and if you got 8mpg it was a cause for celebration.........lol
  10. I had a similar thing eventually it became a grating sound, jacked up the suspension and found the underbelly tray was hanging loose and touching the tops of speed bumps, it started as a chattering noise.............just saying Coastline may have a point.
  11. qman, mine is the same although the 2.2hdi 173bhp 6 speed auto, it does around 600 miles per week and averages 44mpg (mostly m'way mileage) it is a supreme cruiser. The fuel filter fitted to my car didn't cost that much and I haven't had the limp mode kick in since (touch wood). G
  12. qman, try changing your fuel filter. I had the exact same problem, every 4 to 6 weeks the car would drop into limp mode and the fault codes showed low fuel rail pressure, strangely adding Redex seemed to help, but eventually, a Citroen specialist told me there is an issue with some of the fuel filters on the market and changed mine (not expensive - certainly cheaper than Redex every 4 to 6 weeeks) and I haven't had the problem since. Rgds Gary
  13. Interesting rant lol. Noticed today how slow the traffic was on the M5/M6 no one going faster than 70 mph, maybe the cost of fuel as an upside? Another interesting thing, did anyone notice how fuel prices rocketed up when there was talk of a shortage, but it hasn't come down now they've agreed a way forward with the Unions...........!!!!!
  14. Hi Mate, Had a similar problem with my 2.2hdi and it turned out the fuel filter was blocked, so worth having a look!! Gary
  15. Dave I am in Salisbury, Wiltshire. I work away from home during the week (Manchester) so don't have access to the pics, but will get SWSBO to take some and send them on so I can forward to you. The seats are all in good condition and clean (I have fed them with leather conditioner). The four Door trims are all good and have the wooden inserts, (if I remember correctly, one is missing the radio speaker grill), but you can get those cheap from ebay or use the one from your car as a donor. Cheers Gary
  16. Dave, I have a light grey set for sale, in excellent condition, if you can't find a dark grey set. I am looking for £100 which is what they owe me....... Cheers Gary
  17. Dave, when people ask me why I drive a crap french car, I always ask them 3 questions, 1stly which manufacturer won the F1 GP this year oh yes, Renault, 2ndly, who won the Le Mans GP series this year, oh yes it was Peugeot and 3rdly, who won the Rally World series this year again, oh that will be Citroen, no BMW, Audi, Merc, SAAB, Volvo, Ford, then ask them this, where does BMW, Ford, Volvo, Chrysler and about half a dozen other manufacturers get their diesel engines from, oh yes PSA.....usually shuts them up.....
  18. Dave, I agree but the unofficial reason they do not fail them is the fact people can remember them if there's a sequence to them so they turn a blind eye, for example B4 TTS when read BATTS is easier to remember..................!
  19. Dave the Mk1 and Mk2's are the same interior and the estate and hatchback are also interchangeable, hope that helps? Cheers Gary
  20. I was told by the MoT Tester who gave me the Advisory for having too clean an engine, the new rules also mean anyone who has headlight bulbs which give off a blue or blueish tint are an automatic failure also, that will p1ss off the boy racers..........
  21. Dave I know the estate and hatchback interiors are interchangeable but not sure about Mk1 and Mk2 (I assume you mean Mk1 upto 2007 and Mk from 2008 onwards?)
  22. I was thinking the same thing, if you came to buy the car and asked to see the MoT, would you view the advisory as a positive message about the car, I don't think anyone would? I might take it up with VOSA and see what the response is, if any!
  23. My 57 plate 2.2HDi VTX auto went through its MoT yesterday and the only advisor was 'No peak emmissions output'. I asked what it meant and the Tester replied when they measure the emmissions output there is usually an upper and lower reading and my car didn't register on the upper limit, meaning even at the upper end it was super clean.................and thats an advisory, how strange.
  24. That is very good advice from Coastline. I had a similar problem and tried all sorts of fixes only to find the Fuel Filter hadn't been changed at the last service and was restricting the flow of diesel to the engine causing the Anti Pollution Fault and Limp mode, new fuel filter = no more problems..voila Rodders
