Rear Suspension Hydraulic Feed Pipe Leaking.
TheGoose replied to TheGoose's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
UPDATE - I have decided to get rid of this car. Would anyone here on the forum like to collect this car for scrap value? MOT until 14th August 18 Citroen C5 2.2hdi Exclusive year 2001 -
Hello all, I still own my Citroen C5 :) on Wednesday its arse dropped to the deck and it Pi**ed hydraulic suspension fluid all over the floor. Appeared to be coming from the middle of the car, underneath the central pillar. I got the car home and removed the plastic under tray to reveal the single mild steel 3.5mm feed pipe, and two plastic return pipes. The feed pipe bends up and over the Diesel fuel tank, and is leaking right on the bend! Please see the pictures and you will notice a whitish colour corrosion spot which is where the leak is coming from. Wondering if this can be soldered or braised? Or is there someone who could cut and connect in a new piece of pipe for me? I really cannot afford to spend much money on the car right now, and would be a shame to scrap her for the sake of a leaky pipe. Thanks Mike

Ok then, if it works how much would you want for it? Cheers!

Yes I looked at the white sticker which is the same sticker shown on the ebay listing. My number is: 12543946

Yes that is a good idea, I need to re install Lexia on another laptop, as the screen has died on my laptop. But its defo worth trying another maf unit, as if it cures the problem I will go out and buy one.!

So am I correct in saying that the MAF housing in picture 2 contains both the MAF sensor and the Air Intake Temperature sensor? As when I have removed the housing and looked inside I can see two measuring devices. And the plug connector has 5 connections

I have found an 8 digit number from the underside of the MAF as follows: 12543946 I couldnt see any more info or even a make?
-
Hi there, Many thanks for the help, i will go and take some photos shortly and look for the serial number of the MAF sensor.
-
Hi coastline, many thanks for this. So could i assume that on my engine (2001) that both the ait and maf sensors are located on the engine side of the airbox assembly? Or is it likely to be else where?
-
It's the air inlet temperature sensor. It's marked with a red arrow. Hi johndouglas. That pic isnt the same engine as mine, but i looked at my maf or map sensor in the airbox assembly and there is two sensors in there?
-
Also where would i find the AIT sensor in my engine bay?
-
Also what is the AIT sensor?
-
Hi coastline, was wondering if you might be able to take a look at my car sometime? If i were to bring it to you?

Hi All, I have finally been arsed to look into my NSR door only but a few minutes ago. I can not see a white plastic cover, however there is one behind a large black plastic cover which has one torx screw in it. I removed the torx screw but could not get the black plastic cover off, so I ripped it off with some good old plumbers grips. I then saw the behinds of the child lock (red plastic), so I inserted a small flat blade screwdriver into it and turned it anti-clockwize until it clicked. I was then able to open the door by pulling the rod. So what is happening now is, when i close the door the central locking sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. What is happening is: I lock the car and I cannot open the door from outside, but I can now from inside once the car is unlocked again. When i lock the car, the door will lock. But not unlock, that is before a few good whacks to the outside of the door I finally got the central locking working again! I played around for a good 10 times, locking and unlocking the car, and every time now the door will work correctly. So it got me wondering if I should remove the lock and try lubricating it? As maybe there is something internal which is sticking slightly? I will give it a go perhaps later on and see how things go. Failing that I assume I could get any old lock from a breakers yard, as there is no barrel to worry about? Thanks Mike

Help Required For Removing Software Dpf File From My Ecu
TheGoose replied to TheGoose's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
I'm thinking of buying a new swirl diaphragm, as from what I can see of my pipes they all "seem" ok. The car has a pattern, if I drive normally it tends to be ok, but whenever I put my foot down harder the error will pop up and often limp mode. Sometimes constant, or sometimes for a few seconds and then it will disappear, although the error stays until a few cycles of the ignition. Could the Mass Airflow Sensor also cause problems like this? Or if that had failed would it more likely be a constant error/limp mode situation? -

Hi, I have activated the child lock on the NSR door on my 2001 C5 as I have a child seat on that side. Now the central locking on the door has packed up and will not unlock, so I cannot open the door from the inside or outside! When I press the fob I can hear the mechanism working in the door, how can I open the door now to disable the child lock to fix the central locking? I am so paranoid now as not being able to gain quick access in case of an emergency, can anyone help? Thanks Mike

Ok, I have random "Anti-Pollution" and EML + Service lights which come on. Sometimes goes into Limp mode, sometimes not. And EML lights do go out all on there own, completely random, when there out I cannot make them come on. Then when they do come on its at random times. Now I have purchased a Lexia Kit, running on Windows XP Home 32-bit, I ran Lexia3 V358.01 and scanned for faults in all areas one at a time. Below I will list what I have come across so far: In the Injection area, P0110 Permanent Fault, Inlet air temperature signal. CAN value not plausible. P0402 Permanent Fault, Fault: Air Circuit. Amount of air measured lower than the setting P0235 Temporary Fault, Turbo pressure signal. Short circuit to positive or open circuit or value too high P0245 Temporary Fault, Turbo pressure. Turbo pressure measured too high P0191 Temporary Fault, Fuel pressure regulator / sensor consistency. Consistency between fuel regulator current and pressure And another which I forgot to get the code: Temporary Fault, Cat. converter upstream temperature signal (cat 1). Short circuit to + or open circuit I have bashed out the Cat/DPF + deleted the system using ECUSAFE and a Galletto cable. However im wondering if this has got anything to do with this issue? Can anyone shed any light on this one? The car is a 2001 Citroen C5 2.2HDI Exclusive. Thanks Mike

Tyre Pressure Sensors, Need Them Turning Off!
TheGoose replied to TheGoose's topic in C5 - Technical
Hi Guys, Have purchased a Lexia Cable and software from the net. Am running Diagbox V 7.65 I think. My car randomly pops up with EML + Service lights on, and the Anti-Pollution warning light on the screen, also occasionally goes into limp mode and will clear the errors by itself. I have scanned the errors, but the only four which are stuck on are relating to me not having the Tyre Pressure sensors fitted. To my amazement, as I thought that there would have been another error relating to this? Any ideas on how to disable these sensors? I seem to have found an adjustment area of Diagbox, where you have 0's and 1's presumably to enable and disable things in the BSI but Diagbox states that the BSI is locked and needs a four digit code entering to enable turning things off and on etc. I have seen options to turn off the tyre sensors. Any help would be appreciated Mike -

coastline taxis, Good to hear from you again good buddy! Its been a while I know, I agree with you on this subject, the error doesnt necessarily relate to the emmission side of things. Guess il have to get the errors checked, and it might be something silly like a failed sensor etc. I might know a garage who could read them cheap for me. Don't quote me on this, but wasn't the 2.2Hdi engine used in the C5 heavily modified to try and get it into the new upcoming Euro emmision laws, ahead of the current laws in 2001? (I am talking about the early 2001 version!) Hence the reason why once the system IS removed, the emissions are still clean enough to pass Emissions testing? -

Hi Guys, Unfortunately I still own my Citroen C5 haha, but over the last fews months the error "Anti-Pollution Fault" pops up with an engine management light, sometimes it puts the car into limp mode and sometimes not and then goes out all by itself! Weird, but I have no way of reading the fault code/s myself so I am not sure if it is related to my modification or not. When the engine isn't in limp mode it runs fine with full power. It has been recently serviced as well, this is starting to get annoying and potentially dangerous now especially when on motorways and limp mode kicks in. Does anyone know the best/cheapest way for me to read my fault codes, and any other ideas as to what this problem might be related to? Thanks Mike -
I too have done this, but myself back in Sep'11 Hence the reason I drained the tank ;) Best thing I ever did!
