Many thanks for your help & offer, unfortunately i'm up in the aberdeen area. The car has gone back to Citroen....This time once fixed i'm flogging for another marque...fed up with Shitroen cars & the lack of cooperation from Citroen aberdeen. Cheers, Paul

Already checked the schraeder valve & fuel is definately coming out, but never noticed colour. Garage has suggested that it may be immobiliser, i have checked by using spare key but symptoms stil exist. Car turns over no probs & starts as it should but cuts out a couple of secs after, seems to be just enough fuel to prime system as when i turn key again it will turn over but not start...Only when i turn key back & fully clockwise does it turn over & start for a few secs. When it cuts out it's immediate no spluttering or coughing always after a couple of secs.

Ok, if the car starts for a second or two every time, should i assume that the low pressure pump is ok ? How often does the low pressure pump actually kick in ? ( I can physically hear it every time i start the car ) Could it be pointing in the direction of the air intake sensor itself or high pressure pump ? Cheers, Lawser

I've read most of the posts on Code readers but they all seem to be from a few years ago....Is there any readers out there worth the money now ?
-
Only just over 50K miles, the car will turn over & start as mentioned earlier but only for a couple of secs ! The AA came out & read the codes as above P1113 was the only one present.

Maybe a couple more pointers; When i put the key in the ignition, i can here the pump priming. when i start the car there's obviously just enough fuel to run for a second or two then stops. If i try to start the car again without turning the key anticlockwise it just turns over without starting. When i turn the key anticlockwise & try & restart you can hear the pump kick in again & the car starts for a second or two then cuts out. Every time the car stops the traffic control kicks in & i cannot turn it off....Used to be able to by pressing the button once ! Is there a relay for the pump or is this just for the initial priming of the pump ? Would the fuel pump prime if it was knackered or does this point toward something else ? Any help appreciated, Paul P.S. Don't get me started regarding AA or Greenflag both not been any help whatsoever....Needless to say membership not being renewed for 2011

Anybody have any idea if Fault code P1113 would stop my C5 from running ?

Doesn't sound like a fuel problem, starts for a second then just cuts out...More of an electronic issue ?

Was filled up on Christmas eve....Wife left it empty ?

Merry Christmas everyone.......My 2003 2 litre HPI estate has been running fine until this morning i went out started the car & a few minutes later it died. On restarting it runs for 4 to 5 secs then cuts out again, the usual traffic master kicks in but no other reported faults....I cannot get the car to continue running, any ideas ? Cheers, Paul

I've been quoted £400 plus vat for my auto gearbox to be overhauled and that's with me removing it...does this seem ok ? lawser

Well now i'm confused as the manual states that i need Total ATX fluid, how do you compare all the different types of Tansmission fluids ? <_<

Ok i've posted this elsewhere with no success perhaps the good folk on here can help ? Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between using Comma AQM ( Dexron11 ) transmission fluid and Dexron ATF in an automatic gearbox ? lawser <_<

OK, so no one has an automatic ! <_< Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between using Comma AQM ( Dexron11 ) transmission fluid and Dexron ATF ? Perhaps i am using the wrong fluid ? lawser  Folks, I have a 1.6i auto , recently changed the gearbox oil & now the gearchange has become really erratic. When accelerating it is slow for a start with high revs from standing take off and it takes off with a vibration that wasn't there before, it seems to hold onto the revs for too long when accelerating at speed, in other words it revs very high before kicking down to overtake Any help appreciated ? lawser

Folks, Don't know if this will help any of you or not, but on closer inspection of the rear brake lights i noticed that you can indeed fit the bulbs in the wrong way. Both of the bulbs had blown on the two rear side lights of my wifes C5 Estate, now whether that was the reason why the Brake warning lights were coming on in the car dash or not i don't know but when i was removing the blown bulbs & replacing i noticed that one of the bulbs was looser in the holder than the other. It seems that even though the bulbs have locating lugs at different heights you can still fit them 180 degrees out, since they've both been replaced & fitted properly the High visibility light problem has dissapeared as has the warning lights on the dash. As it turned out i couldn't find any faults with the high vis light but it gave me the kick up the backside to fix the tailgate window which was always on the to do list, so thanks to everybody for all their help. lawser

Last week the stop warning lights came on with some kind of brake warning while my wife was out, she stopped the car, waited 5 mins & restarted, lights stayed on but no brake warning on display....Hasn't happened again. Tonight i just noticed the High level stop light is on, it's quite dim but goes out after a while, brake lights all seem to function ok....Any ideas ? Cheers, Paul

Ok forget the last post....I've now found the threads.....Thanks

Folks, Started to hear some metal to metal noise coming from the drivers side rear wheel. On investigation it seems that the caliper body is rubbing on the inside of the wheel, after removing the wheel you can see the scoring round the inside in a perfect circle...Any solutions ? Or is that what the pinned post is about ? Cheers, Paul

Thanks everybody, Took off all the trim, couldn't see a thing obviously broken or wrong, nut on the wiper motor was still tight but i slackened off and adjusted the wiper mechanism anyway. Works fine now, wipers resting in correct place........Can't see for the life of me how the mechanism could slip and retighten itself.....I guess it's another Citroen C5 phantom niggle ? Cheers, Paul :)
