As you know I was taken out by just before Christmas and mangled the side of the car. Again as most of you know there is a stricken cargo ship just of Lizard Point in Cornwall that is shedding hundreds of containers. This ship has been to Spain picking up car parts, the 3 quarter panel for my car is coming from Spain and was due in the country Friday just gone. The ship sank Thursday afternoon...now it may be me putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 but what are the chances that the side of my motor is bobbing around in busy shpping lanes?? lightning striking twice anyone?? :)

one of lifes great mysteries, how comes reversing can get you up a slippery hill when forwards jut wont do it. I remember many years ago me and my dad where going to the RAC rally at Chatsworth House (that is some years ago!!) and we had "borrowed" a not yet released Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6. and that wouldnt go up a muddy slope forwards but was more than happy to go up backwards...im sure there is a good reason but I cant think of it...

can we consider this matter closed then please. As Wozza isnt here someone needs to end this and it might as well be me. If we put the points into context. If you do not maintain your car correctly I.E not checking your tyre pressures then things will break. Rear tyres should outlast the fronts by a country mile if looked after. So keep checking those pressures chaps. Sorry to be the prefect chaps but that could have gone down a very slippery road. You are both have tons of extremely useful knowledge that would be missed if you stopped posting because of a pissy argument.

I cant remeber the last time I overtook someone either. Other than the normal motorway and off the lights stuff. I do only have a 1.4 so overtaking has to be planned well in advance.

I dont think it was a dig at you Ham.It was more a general statement that in this climate we live in you have to be careful what we do with everything. You can get fined for puting plastic bottles in the glass recycling bin for the love of all thats un-holy. Not to fuel the fire but isnt synthetic oil not made from anything out of the ground anyway.
